Why WordPress?
One would ask a computer geek such as myself, whyI am using WordPress instead of a fancy in-house developed solution to run my website. The answer to this is quite simple: why reinvent the wheel when there is no need to? Yes, I approve of the idea that if you want something done right you must do it yourself, and I also support the idea of having full control over my website, even behind the beautiful illusion of user friendliness. But this is not always the case. Sometimes, when you just need to share an idea or present yourself, your thoughts or your talents to the world, a simple solution that “just works” is usually enough. And since I am not here to display my graphical design prowess which I find that in my case is almost completely lacking, I see no reason in not going for a fast, free solution and a nice pre-made theme. Thus, I can concentrate my efforts on researching and creating interesting solutions without having to worry about other things.
